About Troop 286G
Troop 286G was founded in 2021 and is chartered by the Old South United Church of Christ in Kirtland, Ohio. The founding 5 members (youth) of 286G are Mya H., Kara H., Anna H., Teagan Y. and Caroline D. The Scoutmaster of Troop 286G is Mike Hill and Committee Chairperson is Cathleen Domes.
Our Troop meets on Thursdays during the week at Old South United Church of Christ, located at 9802 Chillicothe Road in Kirtland. Occasionally, we will meet at an offsite location - so please refer to our calendar of events for the most up to date information.

The BSA Mission
To prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.


Our Vision
Our vision is to give scouts in grades 6-12, in the Kirtland and surrounding areas, an opportunity to experience scouting the Scouts BSA way. We consider ourselves a High Adventure based Troop. We camp monthly to build skillsets, leadership and adventure opportunities for every scouts in the Troop.
